The Community Food Hub
The London Peer Action Collective is a youth-led initiative focused on tackling issues around school exclusions and youth violence. The project brings together 19 young peer researchers and social action leads. It’s delivered through a partnership between The McPin Foundation, which leads on peer research, and The Peace Alliance, which supports social action. The project is backed by The Young Foundation and funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, Co-op, and the #iWill Movement.

In April 2019, The Peace Alliance launched the Community Food Hub in partnership with Freedom’s Ark as a direct response to ongoing socio-economic needs in Tottenham and surrounding communities. Supported by the Felix Project and other partners we provide essential perishable food items up to 2-3 times a week or more to the most vulnerable with a vision to address hunger and food poverty in our communities. Our ethos is “no hunger, no waste”. Read ITV article.
The Peace Alliance is also excited to bring together practical support services and groups under one roof twice a week so that the residents of our community can have access to services that better their emotional, physical, emotional and financial well-being. The Peace Alliance has also partnered with Freedoms Ark to provide a CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Job Club in Tottenham, to help get people into paid employment.
